Peaceful setting. Typical farmhous of multiple size rooms. Friendly host Michael goes out of his way to help,including taxiing us to various places. It has a quaint country garden,lovely to relax in. We had freedom to use all the house kitchen facilities and utencils.Comfy bed.

− No public transport and cabs are expensive . The tv signal is a bit hit and miss at times. Our room didn't have own shower,but we did have toilet and sink. Shared shower room was available.

Michael was such a good host; nothing was too much trouble. He collected us from the train station, and drove us into town too. We were staying in Athy for a wedding and I returned that evening a little earlier than my friends due to a bit of heatstroke and a bad headache; Michael immediately poured me water, offered me tea, showed genuine concern. He is also a fount of local knowledge, full of stories and local history.

− The shared bathroom is being remodelled so it was not in the best shape - but it is clearly a work in progress, so is bound to be better for future guests.

Perfect for a over night stop to or from ferry very quiet and relaxing

− Nothing Micheal is a wonderful host warm greeting when arrived and offered to pop me into village to get food at 8.20pm when arrived

Michael- the owner is an exceptional host. He went out of his way to make me feel at home and comfortable. He also showed me around some sights - very kind and a good craic. He has some delicious strawberries and a very pretty garden filled with flowers. Thank you very much Michael.

Location was beautiful, wonderful patio and garden. Athy is only a short drive or taxi journey. Michael is an extraordinary host, great stories and lots of information on the area. And so kind..gave us a lift to wedding we were attending, made porridge bread (delicious) for us and sent us off after a great weekend with flowers from his garden and lots of homegrown veggies. A great character, Michael is what makes Willsgrove House.

− There is a little more work to be done re bathroom facilities but I've no doubt it will be done.

Michael made it memorable, enjoyable, well worth a stay.

Michael the host is brilliant. A great character who is happy to help and share a wealth of local knowledge.

− The only thing would be to trim the hedges either side of the entrance/exit to the driveway.
