Such a gorgeous property with beautiful decor, comfortable furniture, peaceful surrounds, and everything we needed to unwind and rest.

The pros definitely outweigh the limited cons, we had a magnificent time unwinding and enjoying ourselves to the fullest

Gorgeous views and very convenient stay! We stayed in 'the cottage' and were impressed from the get-go. The rooms were aesthetic and comfortable. Exploring the grounds was always very exciting - from the forest walk and climbing the hill to the bonfire, to fruit trees and meeting the horses. There was plenty to do at a laid-back pace. Enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee at the front of the cottage was the perfect start to all our mornings. Would visit again and again.

− Found a couple of bugs in the un-used loft bedroom and ants in the bathroom. The second bedroom could've done with air-conditioning/fan as it got quite hot, but the master bedroom and living room were very comfortable.

The property was absolutely perfect for a family. We took our cavoodle dog and she really enjoyed it. There was enough room for us all and the outdoor area was beautifully done, as well as the interiors. There was a lovely bench swing outside to enjoy having a glass of wine and looking at the stars. It was so close to Mudgee but far enough away from all the noise. We loved doing the forest walk and seeing the horses. I would highly recommend this as a perfect stay in Mudgee for a family or couple.

Great location, peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

Great place to stay. Highly recommended. Spotless and very comfortable. Great fireplace and beautiful outdoor area. The king size bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen but looked well stocked with cooking utensils. Great communication with Melissa.

− Minor negative. There are around five separate accommodation options at Shawwood and we stayed in "The Cottage." Directly next door is "The Cellar Door" accommodation. We found that the bathroom electric extraction fan in next doors accommodation was quite loud in the main bedroom of our accommodation. I can only guess that the fan shares the same ceiling space and we were woken by the fan noise whenever next doors guests used the bathroom. Not a huge negative but worth mentioning.

Awesome venue, stoked it was dog friendly.

Everything. Loved it.

− In my opinion the photos make it seem like its in the middle of a paddock on its own, when in reality its all but attached to some other accomodation/buildings. Made no difference to us in our circumstances but I had a laugh at the exptactions vs reality.
