A very relaxing place to disconnect and spend time close to nature, high up in the hills and surrounded by mountains and forest. Complete peace and quiet all around. The cabins were spotlessly clean, really pleasant to stay in, and had a stunning view of the mountains. The three friendly dogs and the cat were lovely and quickly became part of the stay. The host was helpful and polite, and took care of what we needed. A good choice if you’re looking for nature, quiet, and a calm break away from everything.

− A quick heads-up about getting there: the road to the property runs through the forest along a gravel track that is bumpy and rocky, so the last few kilometres have to be taken slowly and carefully - it can be tricky for low cars. It’s worth letting the host know when you’re on your way, as the check-in PDF suggests, because reception can drop out later on and you don’t want to lose contact along the way. One thing worth knowing in advance: there is a grave on the grounds. This is actually a local tradition in the region - as you drive through the area, you’ll notice houses with graves on their property, so it’s part of the local culture rather than anything unusual. It didn’t affect how well the place is run, but we personally found it a little unsettling, so I think it’s fair to mention it - for some guests it won’t be an issue at all, for others it might be.

A peaceful retreat with stunning views and night skies

We had the most wonderful weekend here. The hosts are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is truly magical — tucked away in the mountains, it feels both remote and peaceful. Our room was beautiful, with an amazing view over the mountains during the day and a sky full of stars at night. It was the perfect setting to relax, unwind, and just enjoy the moment together. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special getaway.

It is rare that words and photos cannot really express how beautiful and welcoming a place is, but that is surely the case for Cioclovina Tribe! You actually need to experience it yourself to understand its charm. Situated in the heart of the mountains, secluded, wild, but at the same time offering all comfort and facilities needed. Most of the time you can only hear the crickets and a cowbell in the distance, so if you look for a place to reconnect with nature and with yourself, this is the place to be. Bogdan is an excellent guide that will take you to undiscovered places, so do book a trip with him if you are there! And he talks with so much love and passion about the area that you will get to love it as well. Jack, the dog with endless energy that went everywhere with us was a fun addition to the crew. Food was also delicious and creative, and we really appreciated that they cooked vegetarian for us. All in all, an exceptional experience with lovely people and other creatures, spectacular nature and positive energy!

great nature retreat

Cioclovina Tribe is a small hide-away at an incredible location. Marvellous nature around, a good place for hiking and relaxing. The owners are very friendly. We had the wooden cabin with our own shower, that was nice. It was clean. There are cute pets.

− The food is a bit pricy, but tasty. You are also able to cook yourself. Good to know you can't reach the location with a regular car, unless you have a 4x4. The owners will pick you up at the bottom of the mountain.

Locatia foarte faina, departe de agitaie si in conditii misto. Gazdele sunt super de treaba, atente ca totul sa fie ok si cu informatii pretioase despre traseele din zona. Clar vom reveni!

Un loc de poveste! ❤️ Privelistea este absolut superbă – perfectă pentru relaxare și deconectare. Căsuța este cu bun gust. Ne-am simțit ca acasă. Gazda a fost deosebit de primitoare și amabilă, mereu gata să ne ajute cu orice aveam nevoie. Cu siguranță vom reveni!”
