The hosts are welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth arrival by communicating regularly and assisting with the last leg of the journey. Do note that the route to the houseboat is quite narrow, requiring careful driving. Upon reaching, you'll need to park your car at a paid parking area and walk a few meters to the boat. Food Quality The food on the Bluerain Houseboat is a highlight, offering tasty and well-prepared homestyle dishes. Guests also have the option to purchase fresh fish and have it cooked onboard, adding a personalized touch to the dining experience. Overall Experience Bluerain Houseboat has friendly hosts and a scenic setting, but enhancing the overall comfort and updating the boat's facilities would make it even more enjoyable. With a few upgrades, it could offer an exceptional backwater stay in Alleppey.
− Areas of Improvement 1. Boat Condition and Room Comfort: The houseboat is a bit dated, and there is significant room for improvement, particularly in the guest rooms. The beds are extremely stiff and uncomfortable, which may negatively impact the quality of your stay. Upgrading the beds and overall room amenities would greatly enhance guest comfort. 2. Limited AC Availability: The air conditioning on the boat is only available between 9 PM and 6 AM. While the hosts were accommodating and kept the AC running throughout the day in one room, especially for us as we were traveling with a pet, this may be an inconvenience for guests who need AC outside the specified hours. Providing more flexibility with AC usage would be beneficial.
