Mooi groot appartement op de eerste etage alleen toegankelijk met een stenen buitentrap (14 treden). Het appartement was heel ruim en comfortabel. Goede oven en kookgelegenheid, tevens een vaatwasser. Hofen op zich is een heel rustig dorp, goed gelegen om te wandelen en te fietsen. Gunstig gelegen om de wilde narcissen te zien. Qua restaurants niet zo bijzonder maar naast de supermarkt (norma) staat een visboer of hanenboer met lekkere afhaal maaltijden. Verder ligt het op 10 minuutjes rijden van de historische altstadt Monschau.
