EXCELLENT EXCEPT FOR SPIRAL STAIRCASE
7.0The property is an older home which has been renovated with all the modern conveniences necessary for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has all necessary appliances for cooking meals and is well supplied. The grounds surrounding the property are extensive with every conceivable amenity available for enjoying the outdoor space.
− The house is on two levels that are connected by a narrow spiral staircase. The bedroom is on the lower level with the bathroom, kitchen and living room on the upper level. The spiral staircase caused us three problems. First, we are an older couple and we need to go to the bathroom numerous times during the night. Navigating this narrow spiral staircase every time we needed to go to the bathroom was a real nuisance. Second, we could not get our large suitcase down the narrow spiral staircase. This required us to make numerous trips up and down the spiral staircase carrying items by hand to the bedroom. The third problem is the entrance to the staircase at the upper level. As can be seen in one of the pictures on the booking .com website the entrance to the staircase is basically just a hole in the floor with no protective barrier to prevent one from falling down the stairs. This caused us a lot of anxiety. If it weren't for the spiral staircase, I would have given this property a 10 rating. But because of the spiral staircase, I'm going to give it a 7.
