Perfect location for our needs, great communication with the owner, and spacious apartment!

− Not sure if the heating was working, we moved the temperature up, but nothing happened. Anyways, it wasn't that cold yet, so it was not a big problem for us.

Great apartment, good facilities, no stairs with easy bus access to the city.

For our 4 day stay in Amsterdam, we were looking for an apartment without stairs that had laundry and cooking facilities, and was close to the central station. We chose Houthavens apartments as this was a short bus ride from the central station. We found the apartment clean with good facilities and with the lift easy to access. The building itself appeared to be a mixture of permanent and short term rentals. We were pleasantly surprised by a generous welcome pack including a bottle of prosecco, waffles We would definitely stay there again. It is about a 5 minute walk to a local supermarket, a 1 minute walk to the bus stop to the main station and it had a lift and all of the facilities needed for a short stay. The wifi was very fast and worked well.

− We had 2 problems, one of which was probably a result of booking through booking.com. We had received a direct mail message that someone would meet us to assist with check in but on booking.com we were advised we would receive instructions to access a key lock box. No one arrived to meet us and there were no instructions to access the key lock box. However, a call to the support number resolved the problem and we accessed the key lock box on site. Communication was being handled through whatsapp. The second problem came from using the stove with specific instructions to always use the exhaust fan. We couldn’t get the fan to turn on and after discussion on the phone, we used the stove without the fan and someone came the next day (Sunday) and showed us there was another switch under the stove to turn the fan on. Both resolved quickly by helpful support staff but stressful when suffering from jetlag and many days of travel.

Fabulous!

Roomy for the price point. Felt safe. Has everything you need. Away from all the weedy coffee shops and quite a nice area in it’s own right - liked vessel and the surrounding restaurants

− Who do you call to get a late check out? Kitchen could has a privacy curtain as not much natural light otherwise I would personally make a feature wall that have colour instead it the stone wall but it’s nice Option for later check out then 10AM Digital key lock to save the key issues The square and the rectangle on the keys look the same so it all got a little confusing
