Lux, ruim, goede locatie, gratis parkeren en uitstekend schoon.

− De grote kiep ramen, die kunnen helemaal open. Verschrikkelijk onveilig als je daar met (kleine) kinderen bent.

− Die Heizung hat nicht funktioniert. Wir wurden nicht darüber informiert. Für 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Badezimmer und ein großer Wohn- Essbereich, wurden uns 2 Elektroheizer hingestellt. Die Wohnung war nicht Sauber. Das Geschirr noch von den Gästen zuvor verschmutzt.

The apartment was spacious, clean, and furnished with appropriate furniture, as well as within decent walking distance to Duisburg central rail station. Getting entry to the apartment was easy and well communicated. We did not make use of the kitchen, so can't comment about that.

− The outside temperature at night fell to 13 degrees centigrade (55 F), but there was no heat in the apartment and no evident place to manage it. We contacted the host in the first evening about resolving this, but they responded by saying they would send a technician in the morning to fix. On the next day of our 2-day stay, we returned to the apartment in the evening to find that nothing had changed. We contacted the host yet again, who responded by saying they would send out another technician on the following day to fix it (which was our checkout day, so there was no heat for our entire 2-day stay). There was no evidence that any technician every showed up. We never had any heat. My son told me that the WIFI wasn't useable, so I decided to document this by connecting and running a speed test. The WIFI network connected to my laptop, but the service was so worthless that I couldn't even get it to load a speed test page in my browser in order to run the test. On the first night, the inside door lever for the master bedroom door broke, locking my wife and I inside the bedroom the entire night. If our sons had not been there with us to open it from the outside the next morning, we would have been locked in the room without any way out. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, but the wall between that bathroom and the bedroom itself consist of a huge transparent glass window with nothing to cover it. This would be fine if the room was only used by a single person or two people who don't mind watching each other perform every bodily function in a bathroom. But two or more people who might mind this sort of visibility would never want to share that room.
