A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts
10.0We spent three wonderful nights at Hermann and Barbara's apartment on Mühlenweg in early July, and it was a real highlight of our time in Bavaria. The apartment itself is beautifully designed and thoughtfully put together. For what it costs, the value is outstanding — some of the best we found anywhere on this trip. The internet was adequate. Saaldorf-Surheim is a quiet, pretty village, and the location is ideal if you have a car — you're close to everything and well placed for day trips. Day trips to fabulous Salzburg and the Königssee are also easily arranged by public transportation via nearby Freilassing, for guests without a car. Just as good was staying closer to home: the Abtsdorfer See is right in town, with an easy path around it, good for a swim or an evening walk before dinner. Hermann and Barbara were wonderful hosts — warm, generous, and full of good local advice. We will return and will highly recommend it to our friends!
