Quiet, great views, comfortable bed and lovely hosts - perfect to explore the Orkneys
9.0Kisumu is located in a private, separate Annex to the main house. It has everything required for a comfortable short or longer stay. Shopping is available in Stromness, just a few minutes driving or 15minutes walking across the fields. The key prehistoric attractions are all close by, making it an ideal base for exploring Orkney's neolithic history. Quiet, great views, comfortable bed and lovely hosts. Perfect for us, thank you.

10.0Superb location, only a short and walkable distance from Stromness but in the open. The view from the living area is absolutely superb with a 180 degree panorama of hills and water, on the right taking in the rugged hills of Hoy and the coming and going of the Northlink ferry. Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners, with the added benefit of them living right next door.

10.0This property was excellently located although the map apps had a little trouble finding it. There was one issue during my stay but it was handled quickly and efficiently. To me, it’s not about if things happen (they will) but how they’re dealt with and so I’m very happy with my experience. Also the view was to die for. I even got to see a rainbow.
− It’s attached to their family home via a locked door so while I was never disturbed during my visit, I could very clearly hear their conversations in the kitchen and smell any food they cooked. They weren’t loud or rowdy, it just wasn’t as private as I expected. But as long as you know and expect that going in, it’s fine.
