Beautiful bungalows

8.0

My husband and I stayed here for several nights on our honeymoon before the earthquake (we had extended our stay on Gili Meno but had moved to another hotel because Adeng Adeng was full). Overall our bungalow was lovely! It was spacious and clean and had a beautiful outdoor bathroom with a good shower. The light was good day and night and the decoration was thoughtful. The AC worked beautifully. There are only 5 bungalows spread out in a fairly large garden and it felt incredibly private to us. Others commented on mosquitos and it did seem like it wasn’t set up well for mosquito protection (eg no mosquito net and fan didn’t point to the bed) but they offered free mosquito spray and honestly we only saw a few in our room. Breakfast was really good with individual French press coffee and great juices and banana pancakes. We didn’t eat at the restaurant for other meals. The biggest downside for me was the beach- there is no shade at all and it isn’t a good swimming beach (nothing on the north side of the island is really). It is a nice spot to watch the sunset though but before sunset it was just too hot without shade to be enjoyable. I don’t know how Adeng Adeng fared with the earthquake but I wish them luck in the aftermath.

Very authentic

8.0

Gili Meno is a lovely unspoilt island. I will say, there is still a lot of construction work taking place along the beachside doing repairs or new builds. The staff in all the restaurants and local shops are very friendly and eager to help. A must for travellers wanting to see how the locals live.

Ideal für den Sonnenuntergang

6.0

Alright Place to stay

6.0

We had walked a long time in the dark and in the rain to get to the hotel. It was difficult to navigate getting there and getting to reception. There was no hot water so after a day of being in the ocean then the rain we settled for cold sponge bath. Free breakfast was one thin, burnt pancake. Said it came with fruit and yoghurt but we didn’t receive that. We left hungry.

Loved Adeng!

10.0

We loved everything about our stay at Adeng - the bungalow and outdoor bathroom, the beautiful and private garden setting and the helpful staff at reception and the restaurant. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the few nights we had at Adeng Adeng. A little disappointed with the beach when the tide went out. But a relaxing place.
