Poor care to detail and no warning of the drawbacks.
4.0Location was good but unfortunately we didn't see the Southern Lights. Beds were very comfortable and warm.
− The hot water service was not switched on in readiness for our stay. It took about a day and half to heat the 400 litre hot water service to proper temperature. The toilets had no doors which is fine if you are not seeking privacy. The "Feature" of the house was supposed to be the wood heater fireplace. It was out of action and had been for some time. We were not made aware of this. We had a really cold night where we would have been kept warmer with this but seeing the fire door was missing we couldn't use it. The vanity benches were made from tree slabs with holes and slots which made it difficult to put our bathroom utensils anywhere. Not much in the way of shelves in the bathrooms. Shower floors were atrocious. They agreed to reimburse us a portion of the cost. None of the photos show the problems.
Beautiful, spacious, well equipped and clean. Perfect stay.
