Lovely location with great views and very helpful, friendly staff. Very nice food in their restaurant.

Great location for exploring Fowey and the start of Cornwall.

Great location in central Fowey. Can be a bit loud in the summer season with the wu does open as there are 3 pub restaurants just below our room. But great view and access to everything the town has to offer.

− A bit hot but no fault of the hotel. Also, you must also park at the top of the hill and walk down and up. Not for people with mobility issues.

Spacious room with great view. Very nicely decorated. Location is very good. Very good breakfast. This was our second time in this hotel and I’m sure we’ll be back

We would have changed our plans if we had known in advance that the hotel wasn't fully operational.

Breakfast was well cooked and tasty but we couldn't sample the evening menu as no food was served during our stay.

− We booked for our 30th wedding anniversary. I emailed the hotel to let them know that we wouldn't be able to get there until 6pm as our plans had changed. We were in the car park at 5.45pm when the hotel rang me to see when they could expect us. When we got there (by 6pm as advised) after an 8 hour journey, the member of staff practically shoved us into the room and promptly disappeared saying there was an emergency number if we had any problems! The bar wasn't open to residents at all during the stay neither was there any food served apart from breakfast. It was in essence an Air B and B. No frills, no one to raise concerns with or get extra milk from if we had needed it - certainly didn't feel like the reviews we'd seen which had made us select it in the first place. We were so disappointed and then it got worse!! The second night there was a massive crane right outside our window drilling the harbour wall. There was no member of staff in the hotel to raise this with so my husband had to go out to the workmen to ask how long they were likely to be. All night apparently!! It had been planned for some time so we were annoyed that the hotel didn't warn us there was likely to be disturbance so we could have changed our plans. Staff didn't even mention it next morning no apology, didn't even ask if we had enjoyed our stay. I always look at the reviews and generally wonder why most of the reviews are excellent and then there is always one bad review- on this occasion, unfortunately, we have to be honest and say it was awful! Certainly not worth the money.
