Great location, but the check-in failure and poor service overshadowed the stay.

The cabin itself was mostly as advertised, reasonably clean, and in a great location. Once we were inside, it was comfortable and worked well as a base for our stay.

− The biggest issue was check-in which didn't happen until after midnight. We arrived after 10:00 p.m. and neither the keypad code nor the lockbox provided access to the property. After a lengthy back-and-forth with support—sending photos, videos, and trying multiple access codes—a maintenance technician eventually arrived and confirmed the keypad wasn't working. He was only able to let us in because he had access to a second lockbox containing company keys. This significantly delayed our evening before a planned 4:00 a.m. wake-up for a San Gorgonio climb and affected the entire next day's schedule. What disappointed us even more was the lack of any meaningful service recovery afterward. When we later asked whether a late checkout could be offered as a courtesy, we received what appeared to be a standard template response allowing checkout only one hour later than normal. Given the circumstances, it felt like there was little acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
