I don't recommend this property.
4.0This property is an extended-stay hotel, which was not made clear on the Hotels.com website at the time of booking. However, I have stayed at extended-stay hotels for short visits before without issue, so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, as our stay progressed more concerns came to light. I believe the bulk of guests were construction workers and families of the extensive road project nearby, which contributed to cooking smells in the hall and frequent yelling from parents at loud children behind closed doors. The building's fire alarm went off at 12:30AM and while it was eventually turned off, our smoke detector continued flashing a green light for the remainder of the stay. There were no typical hotel amenities such as a hairdryer, iron/ironing board, extra pillows or towels, and no maid service. The cited “free toiletries” was simply a small bar of soap and a little tube of shampoo. And the rooms were not “soundproof” as claimed. We heard the heavy-footed guests above pacing around and our neighbor’s bedframe banging against our shared wall during their post-fire alarm activities. Additionally, the floors were sticky and gross, and we felt compelled to wear our shoes in the room the entire time. The staff was friendly and did their best to make things right, but it’s clear this property was capitalizing on the university football crowds by renting their extra rooms without making any adjustments to accommodate short-terms travelers.
