Comfortable Stay, But Not Without Frustrations

The cabin itself was clean, nice, and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware. Management offered a $280 refund for the overgrown grass after we reported it.

− We were given the wrong door code at check-in and had to contact management for the correct one. The grass was badly overgrown when we arrived on Sunday and wasn't cut until Wednesday. Communication from management was inconsistent. We were told to bring propane for the grill, but the grill was actually connected to the home's gas supply. It seemed like management wasn't very familiar with the property. Some of the kitchen electrical outlets didn't work. The exterior stairs were very slippery, and one person in our group fell on them. Construction across the road created noise and blocked much of the road during the week, and we weren't notified beforehand. The security deposit/damage waiver policy was confusing, and I didn't like the non-refundable option. I was told I'd receive a $280 refund for the grass, but I haven't received it yet. Bears damaged our vehicle by ripping off two passenger-side door handles. While this isn't the owner's fault, future guests should be aware that bears are active in the area.

This house is absolutely stunning and incredibly spacious! I love the rustic charm and the ceilings are especially impressive. The beds are very comfortable, and the views from the deck are beautiful. The drive to the house is the perfect mountain experience. While the driveway is a bit steep, we had no trouble getting up in our Bronco. Both the exterior and interior of the home feel warm and inviting. Dylan and Suzanne are great hosts and very responsive. They provide clear details about the house along with excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat, helping ensure an incredible stay.

− I loved everything about this house!! They are building a house across the street and I hope it does not take away from the views of this beautiful house!!
