Errichel Farm, Crieff Road, Aberfeldy, GB
Maybe I will go back there again next year
10.0All the four bedrooms what far bigger than expected plenty of room to round the Bedroom we have came with a very large shower wet room.
− There wasn't anything that we disliked
We booked for five days but only stayed two because of the heating otherwise we would have stayed on
7.0Didn't have breakfast Location was fine
− The two radiators in our main room weren't working
Stunning wee cottage in super location with amazing views.
10.0The jewel in their crown. Great location for travelling to visit the surrounding area. There was a farm tour, however a few walks at night time meant we had seen the geese, chickens, ducks, peacocks, sheep and cows as it is a working farm. Hosts were so friendly and checked to ensure our visit went well. The cottage itself was stunning with quality figures and fittings. Cosy log burner. Furniture was all quality items and very different from other places I have visited. Granddaughter loved the super king size bed. I'm sure that's what it was. Three windows and a glass door in the sitting room allowed ample light to come in and also let us watch the wildlife without disturbing them. When we arrived the peacock and peahen were behind the cottage with their chicks to welcome us and give us a close up view of the beautiful birds. Overall, stunning cottage with stunning views across the valley. Host, Paul gave us a tour of the adjoining cottage. It was also stunning with the bedrooms downstairs and living area upstairs. Very quirky. Again stunning fixtures and fittings.
− The shower cubicle in the family bathroom is a high step and narrow entrance/exit. Mentioned to host, Paul and he advised that he is hoping to alter the bathroom maybe out of season. Nothing else that I didn't like apart from when it was time to leave.
Peaceful Stay
9.0We stayed at Garden Cottage for 2 nights on our way to the Black Isle. The location was perfect. Errichel estate itself is maintained immaculately and is so pretty. The cottage was clean and comfortable and despite it being directly opposite the bistro it was still peaceful and felt private. We also loved the visits from the peacocks and ducks. We would recommend the breakfast at the bistro, it was excellent and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
− After a long journey it was disappointing to arrive to no sachets of coffee, sugar or milk. Maybe this is associated with a two night stay, but I have never experienced this anywhere before on overnight or short stays, and we stay all over Scotland. I feel it's a welcoming touch that need not be expensive to provide and would encourage the hosts to do so as it feels a little mean not to. Lounge furniture was torn and there was no note of apology. However this would not deter us from staying again or recommending to others.
Lovely stay in rural Perthshire
10.0Beautiful location, idyllic surroundings, delicious food in the bistro, very reasonable price and last but not least lovely hosts.
