Unterkunft sehr schön, Game Drives leider gar nicht
3.0Die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr schön. Die Häuschen stehen auf dem Berg und haben eine tolle Sicht. Sie sind auch sehr gut und modern eingerichtet.
− Die Game Drives sind leider überhaupt nicht gut, und die sind ja ein Hauptgrund für die Buchung in einem Private Game Reserve. Wir haben auf unserer Rundreise im April/Mai 2026 sechs verschiedene Private Game Reservers besucht, aber nirgends waren die Game Drives so schlecht, wie in der Zulu Rock Lodge. Wir haben praktisch gar nichts gesehen. Ok, zwei Zebras, 2 Nashörner und eine kleine Gruppe Impalas. Aber das war es. Den einen Elefanten den man selbst mit dem Fernglas vom Guide kaum gesehen hat, zähle ich nicht mit. Ich weiß das Gebiet ist noch recht neu, aber wenn man do gar nichts sieht, sind einfach zu wenig Tiere dort. Zudem fährt man ewig durch sehr hohes Gras, auch da sieht man natürlich nichts. Außerdem sind die Wege durch die vielen Felsbrocken derart schlecht, das man sich die ganze Zeit stark festhalten muss, um nicht vom Auto zu fallen. Insgesamt eine große Enttäuschung.

− For a Big 5 game reserve it felt a bit unlikely to see anything very significant (ie a bit understocked for 22000 hectares). Steep rocky slopes make for great atmosphere but slow bumpy progress.
Lage, Ausstattung, Personal, Aussicht, Game Rides... alles sehr sehr gut
