Logement extrêmement bien placé, dans une rue calme à quelques pas de Queensway où se trouvent deux stations de métro ainsi que commerces, nombreux restaurants et pubs. L’arrêt de bus (ligne 70) se trouve dans la rue. Logement (flat 10)très propre, calme situé côté cour, fonctionnel mais plus petit que ce qui semblait sur les photos. Kitchenette minimaliste mais suffisante pour y prendre un petit déjeuner.

− La salle de bains : froide, le radiateur sèche-serviettes insuffisant pour assurer une température agréable dans la pièce. Pas de ventilation donc miroir embué dès que l’on se douche. Aucune lampe de chevet à la tête de lit : impossible de lire le soir sans créer de gêne. Équipement minimaliste de la cuisine : 2 fourchettes, 2 cuillères etc c’est un peu juste. Faible isolation phonique entre les appartements mitoyens. Gare aux voisins/voisines bruyant(e)s nous avons dû intervenir auprès d’un groupe de jeunes filles après minuit qui parlaient fort. Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas avoir le choix de l’appartement au moment de la réservation.

Ubicación, atención por parte del personal cuando necesitamos algo, la cama, la cocina. Llegamos y el control remoto le faltaban pilas, les avisamos y nos las trajeron el mismo día (lo mismo paso con el papel higiénico). Volvemos sin dudarlo! Baño muy cómodo, especialmente la ducha (aunque en la puerta se veía su uso, no supuso ningún inconveniente)

− La primera noche salto la alarma de incendio y a pesar de ser casi media noche lo solucionaron. También le faltaría un escurre platos para no tener que dejar lo que uno lava en la mesada. A pesar de esto nuestra estancia fue muy bien!

Smells of urine, noises wake you up all night

Information sent via email beforehand was thorough, with videos on how to find the apartment and key.

− We stayed in Room 4, in the basement, at the end of the corridor. This is one of the worst stays I have had in a long time. A few hours after arriving I noticed a vague urine smell while sitting on the bed. Although the bathroom looked clean, the smell was clearly coming from something in there - either the toilet, sink or shower drain. We bought a gel air freshener to cover it, which worked for a while, but by the next day the smell of urine was extreme. The smell was overwhelming when in the bathroom, and disgusting in the main room; lying in bed, all I could smell was urine (despite having the air freshener next to the bed). At this point we looked at other reviews and saw that other people have complained about a smell too, so we assume this has been reported many times and the owners haven't fixed it (we therefore didn't contact them, as we didn't want to interrupt our holiday with more hassle for something it seems like they don't wish to fix). To make it a bit more managable, on the final night we put a towel along the bottom of the bathroom door; paired with the air freshner this made it tolerable to be in the main room, although the bathroom still smelled overwhelming when using it. On top of this, the noises in the building overnight were incredibly loud, woke us up and kept us awake every night. Some of this was from other people in the building, footsteps and doors shutting etc, but most seemed to be coming from the building itself (perhaps pipes, or something in the building next door). The noises were intermitent across the night, but especially between 3 and 4am every night there was so much noise it woke us up and stopped us sleeping. The room itself is very basic and quite faded, but would be fine if it didn't stink of urine and have noises that stop you sleeping.

The location and how clean everything was

− The coffee machine didn’t work

It was small and compact but had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for us.

Although it was small it had everything we needed and we would like to return here again when we next visit London. Great location!
