Hotel was overbooked and just informed me that morning
1.0− I booked the hotel three months ago and fully paid the room fee. However, booking.com just informed me in the morning of the check in date that the hotel was overbooked. So, I had to carry 4 big luggages with my two family members in London to look for other hotel. Very bad experience and make me lack if confidence to use booking.com in the future. Really really bad.
Great base camp in a beautiful neighborhood, well connected to the rest of the city.
8.0Location was great, staff was friendly, the place was large enough and comfy for a family of four (took the presidential suite with balcony) and clean. To the people wondering (like me before I came) whether there are one or two sofabeds, there is one large sofa and two one-person beds inside, that can be fully separated by putting the sofa cushions in between - so this is really two sofa beds.
− It was mostly great but a few things could be just a tad better. We never were cold but the heating was a bit hit and miss, either too warm (bathroom and living room) or did not seem to work (in the bedroom).

8.0The apartment was larger than I expected from the photos. To get an apartment with this spacious layout in London, near a Tube station and grocery stores was a nice surprise. The staff at the reception desk and the maintenance person were extremely friendly and accommodating.
− The kitchen was in a tiny room with a door. In order to use the Hob/stovetop or the oven, you needed to close the door. The sink faucet had a slow leak when turned on. but these are fairly minor things and we made several meals in the kitchen just fine. in the rest of the area, the light switches were difficult to figure out - some had dimmers but they just just faded on or faded off, I couldn't figure out how to get them to stay at a dimmed setting and be on.

Presidential Apartments Kensington reserve the right to pre-authorize credit cards a week prior to arrival. The person registering at check-in must be at least 18 years of age. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. This is applicable for foreign nationals and British residents.
On arrival we take security deposit as preauthorisation on the credit/debit card. The amount is £25 a night, maximum of £100 per room. This block is being released on departure if no damage is caused. The length of release depends on your bank.
