Overall good experience
8.0Group of six adults, you get what you pay for. However main things hotel clean , rooms good however shower gel near sink not shower. Aircon at no extra cost is always a bonus. Right next to beach and no trouble with noise. Lifts are slow and not many just don’t use at peak times
Wonderful holidays
10.0IT was wonderful time. I will come back here
Not recommended especially for All Inclusive
4.0Where should I start. We have just come back from the Grand Hotel well grand it isn't by far. We went All Inclusive. Location is brilliant out of the gate and walk across the path and there is the beach, also all the shops, stalls selling all kinds of stuff and eating places. The hotel has only 2 lifts taking upto 6 people in each so if there is larger people in it will only take 4. So if you are on the 12th floor as we were going to breakfast is a nightmare as once the lift reaches its max it just goes down. A few times we walked down the stairs which isn't good really as my husband has problems with his knee. The only air-conditioning is in you're room there isn't any throughout the hotel. Breakfast is breakfast but it would be nice for it too be hot most days it was luke warm or cold. Lunch and Tea choices not a great deal at all and don't look appetising and still only luke warm. We ate out mainly and you can tell the difference in the food. Rooms are fine and they were cleaned and towels changed everyday, wardrobe space is small so hanging up dresses isnt good as space is only small. You get water on the 1st day you arrive and teabags and coffee too, after that its take teabags from the restaurant but coffee is only from the machine you can get tea and coffee throughout the day. Pool towels you have to provide you're own. Pool area isnt too bad they do a couple of activities in the morning and also in the afternoon. The music can be too loud but some of the songs that are played are not suitable as children are about. There is some night entertainment but we didnt see any. The guy at the pool bar sorry hopeless with names he was good, as was the blonde lady in the lobby bar too and the lady from housekeeping who done our room. Staff in the restaurant they were mainly rude not helpful and you were an inconvenience to them. The alcohol drinks if there was alcohol in them I would definitely be surprised, yes we drank the local vodka and gin as its only the local stuff that is on the All Inclusive menu. Yes we could've payed more to have branded drinks but we shouldn't have to, we did when we ate out of course. They advertise massages but these are not done at the hotel but at the shopping centre. I asked about keeping our room on the last day as we were obly getting picked up at 8pm. The guy on reception told me it would be €130 but if I gave a good review on here I could have it for €110. This is a 3 star hotel I haven't paid that much too keep a room in a 5 star. Yes I would go back to Bulgaria but definitely not this hotel.
Lovely hotel
10.0After reading a couple of bad reviews I feel the need to write this. I am currently staying at this hotel with children age 8,12 and 13 and can't fault the place it's lovely! It's our first time at this hotel and we are well travelled people. Room is very modern and nice, the whole hotel kept clean, the pool area we stayed at yesterday and was nice, plenty of loungers to go around and plenty of room in the pool. Yesterday we had a nice breakfast they put a variety of food out and there's plenty for everyone! At lunch they had a variety and also were cooking meat squewers and chips outside which were delicious. After heading out to the beach which is steps away we came back and they were making some lovely cheese on toast amount other things but the cheese on toast was really nice. We had no issue with finding something to eat at the evening buffet either. On arrival we got here after midnight the lovely lady on reception handed me four bags where the hotel had kindly made us a packed lunch. There is a guy during the day I dint know his name but he does Zumba for the people in the pool and I even took part in a quiz thing the guy is brilliant and brings good energy. Just steps from the hotel are countless shops, bars and restaurants and I have felt super safe and found the workers of these places to be helpful and friendly. One last thing is we are in a sea view studio on the 3rd floor and the view is lovely from our balcony. Don't be put off by some of the reviews like I was lovely hotel and I would 100 percent come back.
Grand not so grand now
2.06th time in this hotel and how its changed' food was repetative ' pool area was a no go due to kids being on the sunbeds' no rules adhered to about towels asked staff for help and it was ignored' the only nice staff there was the cleaner who had a smile on her face' changed hotels on the 4th night as couldnt stand it any more ' so if anyone is wanting a lovely holiday at the grand be prepared it has changed massively
Terrible hotel grand in name only, not a 4 star, barely a 2 star hotel, definitely not as advertised.
2.0Absolutely shocking hotel, not as advertised, à la carte menu definitely not, disgusting slop, we ate out most of holiday as restaurants and everything else out of the hotel was amazing. Doesn’t have enough of anything for amount of people in hotel from food after the locust have taken everything and then wasted it, in the tiny dining area to the lack of sun loungers around the tiny pool, with the pool bar (shack) serving its 3 cocktails and beer. Staff are rude with no manners, cleaning of room consists of emptying 2 bins, fresh towels but no bedding changed and no cleaning of anything else, no hoovering of carpet or mopping of bathroom or balcony floor, basically they don’t clean your room. Minibar as advertised is a mini fridge in your room with a bottle of water, with tea coffee facilities (never replenished after day one), cafe, mini supermarket, kids playroom and playground doesn’t exist. Massages you have to go a few hotels up the seafront to have so not within the hotel as advertised. Advertised as a 4 star hotel when barely a 2 star, not value for money. 2 lifts that can only hold 4 people for the 12 floors and 400 people in the hotel, have to wait 20 minutes for a lift as they just go pass even when called. Bar well if you can call a menu of 3 cocktails and beer then you have a bar but at a 4 star would expect more choice. Advertises room service but no menu or details of ringing down in room. Wi-Fi and balcony lights are controlled by hotel so switched off a lot, so you can’t connect to the tv and internet channels they advertise. Only decent thing is the air conditioning and shower so it you want value for money and not slop for food avoid this hotel like the plague. Security is also an issue as room door doesn’t close properly so need to check closed.
