Safe and Clean Stay
9.0We stayed two nights to sleep. We were in town for a BBQ Symposium and came in a day early to float the river. This was a good location. There were restaurants and chain restaurants nearby which was convenient. The staff greeted us and were super helpful. We stayed in room with 3 double beds. It was great for pur family of 4. The window AC had a hard time keeping up with the Texas heat and it took a long time to cool the room off. The vent system in the bathroom is passive and the steamed up the room pretty good. I was going to open the bathroom window, but there was no screen. The property owner accepted that and said he would get a screen on. The place has been worked on and we can tell. There were lots of little things that showed the care and love the owners put into the property. They are truly a people of hospitality. There are still some upgrades that need to happen. The beds could be replaced. The entry mat was worn, and we didn’t bring our pillows, but you may want to do that. We managed to pick our favorites and shuffle them around until everyone was happy. A nice upgrade will be if they repair and open the pool. It wasn’t advertised, but there is a spot on property and it made me yearn for a dip. The landscaping was beautiful. I think the family in the room next to us was there more long term, but it did not feel like an unsafe place at all. They were friendly and respectful as we came and went.

− The air conditioner was so noisy that we had to turn it off during the night and we suffered a lot because it was hot.
