Fantastic stay at the Wagon & Horses
9.0We had a fantastic stay at the Wagon & Horses. The room was spotless, comfortable and surprisingly quiet, making for a great night's sleep. The location is ideal, just a short walk into Lancaster city centre while being right by the river, which made for lovely evening strolls. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the pub downstairs had a great atmosphere (very dog friendly too!). We also enjoyed the food and appreciated the little touches in the room, such as the tea and coffee facilities and complimentary water. It offered excellent value for money and we'd happily stay here again when visiting Lancaster. Highly recommended!

− Booked bed and breakfast to find out that the property no longer do breakfast. Advised by the property to contact booking.com for a partial refund however no reply received despite an assurance they would get back to me within 24 hours.
Avoid this place
1.0Paid via Booking.com for 1 night plus breakfast. Hotel no longer provides breakfast. Manager at hotel refuses to give any refund, and says to through booking.com. Booking.com not interested.

Well presented and comfortable accommodation. Too far out of town for older couples with little else in the area.

One to avoid
3.0− We booked for bed and breakfast some months beforehand. We paid on this basis but manager informed us on arrival that breakfast not available and no longer included in price. Both venue and Booking.com failed on this, you both had numerous occasions to tell us before cancellation period expired… but chose not to. The venue just took the money and shrugged their shoulders…. They didn’t care…. Very poor and we won’t be back. Shower head held together with sellotape and room looking tired now
