Nice stay for a country wedding
8.0Really characterful and sensitively restored building, great big bedroom with plenty of space and a nice bathroom with a good shower. Friendly staff too and a decent brekkie.
− The room was verrrry hot - I know we've had some heat waves recently but the fan wasn't up to the job and the window had fixings to stop it opening very far; both made for a quite bad night's sleep I'm afraid. Bed/mattress was also very soft - not for me but I'm sure good for some people.
Comfortable room stay but let down by the restaurant.
7.0Room 4 was clean, comfortable, spacious with an excellent ensuite. The staff were friendly and the location suited us being right in the middle of the town.
− Booked in the restaurant for a meal on the first night and was presented with a menu to be told that half the items on it were off, so very limited choice. The breakfasts were passable but obviously pre cooked as a full English arrived within minutes and on the second day no mushrooms were available. Also, there was no marmalade for toast on all 3 mornings.
Lovely pub in excellent location stayed for one night and the facilities were great.
