10.0A lovely, quiet pub in a tranquil village. The staff are pleasant and accommodation is of a very good standard with a large, comfortable bed, clean facilities and lots of space. It is reasonably close to Thirsk for shops and on the edge of the moors for scenery. Would stay again.

Chaotic
1.0I did not stay where I had booked at the Inn. I was told that Booking.com had made an error and although it looked a very pleasant place. I was moved to West Acres 1.6 miles away. The room I was given had not been full cleaned and had not been made up. So I had to drive back. The General Manager was helpful and drove back to make sure I got a room. The final room I ended up with was very good. I was offered a free drink by the bar staff and there were apologies.
− It was the disorganised booking and room allocation that I didn’t like. In the morning I had to drive to drop off my key. The manager asked whether I’d left a message the previous evening I said yes. She apologised.
Beautiful furnished and stunning views with a very warm welcome
10.0It's beautiful gardens, rooms and views are stunning, they think of everything you would need, the restaurant is set up so lovely and welcoming, the staff are so welcoming and polite, I definitely would recommend and possibly come back
− The side road up from Helmsley is so narrow and overgrown, I wouldn't recommend that way to approach. Had a near miss on way up. Come the other way from Thirsk.

10.0Just about the nicest place we’ve stayed in the British Isles. Fantastic location as NF the gardens a really nice touch. Room large, bed comfortable, everything clean and modern. Restaurant food excellent as was breakfast (though breakfast menu is different to the one on line). Staff were really great and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
