This is an absolute GEM of a property in central Greece. You will need a vehicle of some kind to make the trip out to Karpenisi, but if you do, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Yes, this location is typically for families, but because of the animals on site, my wife made this a must stay on our trip. There are two little towns/villages in the area that are easy to travel to via rental car, and we made the most of that situation. Just above the hotel in the village of Klavsi (according to maps), there was a small local family owned and operated taverna that had the most wonderful steak sauce he prepared for his meals. The family was warm and comforting, and we were able to use our translation software to communicate. Just along the main road from the hotel, there is a little café known as river art, that is a must visit for local products and good snacks. For the most part however, this part of our trip was for resting and relaxing. This hotel has a large open property with luscious green grass and local plants that made it a delight to walk through and enjoy Greece without heavy tourism. The staff was kind and helpful, and we were able to have our laundry washed and dried prior to our departure. During the day, we played together at Newton Park, yes, it is designed for children, but with our science backgrounds, my wife and I enjoyed being little kids again for the day. The owner was kind and we spent hours talking together like old friends.

Perfect for a family with young kids !

We stayed for 3 nights with kids aged 8, 12 and 16. It was perfect! The wooden chalet was comfy and mostly the surrounding playgrounds and open-air science park Newton Park kept the kids busy all day. Breakfast was fantastic, the owner Demy does everything to pamper her guests. For the kids, the owner Adonis has them on an exciting morning schedule- horse riding, then the baby train around the park (including feeding the animals), then exploring in Newton Park.. our kids said the place was perfect and were sad to leave.

Great family farm location and excellent service

Our welcome was very warm, fast as it should be after a 4hour drive from Athens. The hosts and staff are doing an excellent job. The games at Newton Park are for kids age 5 to 12. They are designed to combine fun with physics. The farm had a nice cool breeze in the summer. We had plenty of space for the kids to play ride the hotel bikes and play ball. The mountain view is amazing. Breakfast was homemade pies summer fruits and fresh squeezed orange juice, just right for summer. The room was spacious for our family of 5. Quite clean and well maintained. We ll visit again and we recommend it 5 stars to any family with kids up to 10 yrs old and willing to drive to Karpenisi.

Lost in paradise..with kids

Ninemia is an amazing place for kids and families that want to feel the nature and admire its beauties. Mr. Antonis and Mrs. Demi were the best hosts helping us with whatever we may needed. Nice breakfast with local treaties(butter,milk, trachana). The house were very warm, with fireplaces inside and wood. We booked the package "Stay & play" which is exaclty that:bicycles for the kids to go around safely, pony & horse riding in the morning, a small train ride around the farm, a treehouse and a lake with fish. The Newton park had many things to explore:experiments, canals, labyrinth, outdoor playground, survivor games, football, basketball. Little farm with ducks, peacocks, goats, turkeys. We walked to the end of the farm and the river Karpenissiotis was just in front of us. Apart for the outdoor paradise, there is a small area inside where you can seat and enjoy your coffee or drink by the fireplace while kids are playing, but also an indoor playground with several toys, board games, table soccer for all. To sum up...it is family paradise in the nature!!! Explore the villages around and make sure you have food for dinner, as the cuisine can offer only pizza and snacks! We will definitely go back...the soonest!

Heaven on earth.

This is one of the few hotels that I give 5 stars and if there were 6 I would gladly give them 6. First of all it is not only a hotel but a wonderful experience. Except from the rooms (which are mainly seperate houses) there is a vast field with horses and goats and other animals that you can feed them and touch them and interact with them. Just beside the hotel is a splendid park with games for children and adults (from devices that help children understand the laws of physics to basketaball and football fields) and the most amazing is that all these are made from one man: Mr Antonis. Your day can start (if you choose so) with a horse and train ride) and then you can play for hours within the park or the cottage. The houses-rooms are cozy, spacious, clean with very confortable beds and they include kitchen and fireplace. The place is situated in a field with mountains all over that gives you good and calm vibes. The main building has a fireplace and a playground that you can sit and relax and your kids can play for hours and you can drink one of the many herb teas or eat fingerfood. The breakfast is what it is supposed to be: Fresh and high quality. The most important thing though is the hotel staff and owners. Extremely polite and ready to help you in everyway they can, ready to make your stay as confortable and relax as it gets. The price of stay is very small for what you get. Finally there are 2-3 vilalges nearby (5-6 mins drive) with restaurants and domestic products!! Overall this is the place to be if you are a family. Not recommended for adults without children. Mrs Demy and Mr Antonis thank you for everything. We found our destination for many years to come!!!

An amazing experience - try a different summer in the Greek mountains

What started as a last minute search for a few days break ended up as the best summer vacations we had with our children until now. Antonis and Dimitra have created a superb “home” in the beautiful mountains of Evrytania and an amazing experience for kids and their parents. I am not going to describe the place and the activities or the Newton park - you can all read in other reviews and see the pictures. But it’s not about that - it’s about your kids waking up in the morning with a big smile waiting for the horse ride, it’s about their happiness feeding the animals, it’s about your relaxation knowing that they play around in a safe environment, it’s about you playing with them together and finally it’s about the promise you give them that you will come back again next summer in order to make them leave the place !!! Antoni, Dimitra and all Ninemia people we hope we will able to keep that promise and see you again on August 2020 !!! Christos - Aggeliki and the twins !!!
