9.0Our stay in Negril was truly amazing, and we wholeheartedly recommend Tingalaya’s Retreat as a wonderful place to stay. David, Cecile, and the entire staff were incredibly kind, patient, and polite in every interaction, always doing their best to help in any way they could. I enjoyed the delicious Jamaican breakfast every morning, it was so filling that I almost didn’t need lunch. The natural pool was also fantastic, and we wished we had stayed longer just to relax and listen to the sound of the sea.
− The internet was not working very well in some parts of the property and on one night our shower wasn’t working. Hurricane Melissa had occurred recently, so these issues were likely related to that. In any case, both situations were handled quickly and efficiently by the staff.

Tingalayas Retreat does not have a characteristic beach setting - it is along the cliffs. They have an ocean-fed pool, access into the ocean (weather permitting), and a private sand area that mimics the feel and look of a beach.
