10.0so we knew we didn’t sign up for the Ritz Carlton, and we knew that this was a Lake George motel, not a five star hotel. And, we were very very pleasantly surprised, with a large spotlessly, clean room, a hard shower, comfy beds, lovely neighbors in neighboring rooms, a sweet swimming pool not on the highway like many are, but down at the water edge, wonderful, lounging spaces, beautiful lounge, and Adirondack chairs, a large deck off the back of the property, with a swim area in the lake, and the loveliest surprise of an elevated deck with chairs, benches, and fire pits! The serenity and the beauty all around us was priceless! Very grateful to the Lake motel’s owner for caring so deeply about this property. Much of it is renovated. The staircases need improvement, and the railings of the upstairs deck need a good paint job. Of course, as others have said, the parking is a nuisance, however, in light of all the other wonderful things about this motel, including the price, we can’t complain.
