It was an amazing view, but they give you essentially no amenities, to include toilet paper, zero napkins/paper towels, and only a couple of coffee pods. They said we should buy everything. They effectively made it right at the end.

Great base for a holiday

Great family holiday.

We had a fantastic stay for our family ski holiday. We've stayed in other places in Avoriaz in the past and the location of L'Amara is just spot on for children. Our appointment was directly above the ski locker which was straight out onto the run. We used the pool area a couple of times and although it was quite busy, it never felt crowded. The parking was convenient and easy to access the appartment from it. The appartment itself was actually surprisingly roomy for an avoriaz appartment. We had a 2 bed one and it was plenty big enough for a family of 6, including 2 under 5's. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall, we would stay again if we returned to Avoriaz again.

Extortionate Prices

The residence and facilities are nice, the location in Avoriaz is very good but their charges for a lost Ski Locker key of 150 EURO for a key amounts to extortion there is no way that level of charge can be justified and that makes clear their attitude that their customers are nothing more than a way to get as much cash as possible.

Annual ski trip

Have been coming here for years. Service is always poor however location and weather usually make it worth it. 5 star location, 1 star service. For example, sitting in bar at 4.50pm. Ask waiter for service - she points at bar. I go to bar at 5.01pm to be informed by same waiter/read that bar is now closed. Didn’t think for a minute that as we were still sat at bar that we may have liked service…….5 star……..nowhere near.

Great apartments, you’ll struggle to find better

I’ve stayed here twice in Jan 2025 once with family once with friends Great location, easy access for a transfer straight into the basement car park It’s a bit of a stroll to any shops but for skiing it’s excellent, straight out your boot room your on the piste, although absolute beginners might find it more difficult with a green run to do The apartments are clean and tidy with plenty of space. Comfy beds, powerful showers. Enough facilities to cook TVs don’t have much English channels (but your not there for that) The crockery is really nice and plentiful but half way across the apartment not in the kitchen area The pool is warm - just but not hot Other than that all great. I would definitely recommend
