8.0Beautiful onsen outside. Beautiful meals with gorgeous dishes and incredible personal service. Rooms were very comfortable and lovely. Some of the food was a bit odd for western tourists but there was more than enough to enjoy. We loved a day trip to Natadera. One of the most memorable temples we visited in Japan and the least crowded. Walk along the gorge also was nice. The town appeared interesting but was mostly closed on Tuesday when we were there.

Reservations are required for massage services and spa treatments. Reservations can be made by contacting the ryokan prior to arrival, using the contact information on the booking confirmation.
