A beautiful place to leave the word behind

− A few issues with plumbing during our stay and due to location nothing can be fixed immediately but staff apologetic.

− Restaurant felt cold and not as cosy as the rest of the place.
Great potential but badly delivered
4.0We had booked a room with a balcony (we didn't have one). According to the pictures and also half board. When we arrived, we were told the restaurant was not open, so we would have to walk up the road to find food.Also, there was a leak in the cold water system, so to resolve this, they turned the water off and you had to ask for it to be turned on if you wanted cold water in your room.( This also meant 70% of the rooms were unavailable) The blind on the window wouldn't open or close properly and hummed in the wind like castanets. There wasn't a bar open, and you had to ask for a hot drink , which involved waiting for the machine to warm up . I wouldn't recommend this place it feels like a cross between Faulty Towers and The Shinning. It's a great pity because it's a lovely building and with a little care and attention could be a great place to stay . The staff were friendly, but given the circumstances, they were in a difficult position to start from .
