Resorta je sicer oddaljen od centra mesta in do njega prispeš po zanimivi poti z golf avtom, ampak lokacija samega resorta je odlična. App so udobni, veliki, s polno opremo v kuhinji in z lepim razgledom. Osebje je zelo prijazno, vedno pripravljeno pomagati.

Beautiful, quiet oasis

Sapphire Beach is a truly outstanding, beautiful, clean, quiet oasis. We stayed for five nights in June 2026, the off season. There were a handful of other guests, but we hardly ever saw them. We picked this place because we wanted to be able to snorkel the reef without hiring a boat and because we wanted a kitchen to enable cooking for people with allergies. The rooms were absolutely luxurious and beautiful. We stayed in a three bed suite with three balconies and ocean view (19c). The balconies were an excellent place to enjoy a drink or read a book while staying away from the voracious mosquitos that came out from dusk until dawn. We ate several delicious meals at the on-site restaurant. Vicky from the restaurant would check in each evening to see if we needed her to cook for us. Staff member Wi-Fi brought us coconuts to drink from the trees and let us taste sugar cane from his plant. The hotel arranged two snorkel tours for us with pickup right from the dock. Given Sapphire Beach’s distance from dive shops, there was an extra fee for pickup, but enabled a much faster and bug free comfortable ride than using a golf cart. Golf Carts: Golf Carts cost around $70/day, but most days we didn’t use it due to snorkeling tours. A Taxi one way from San Pedro to Sapphire Beach is US$50. In the off season there is not much going on nearby, and beaches are all covered with sargassum seaweed, so not a lot of reason to have a golf cart. In addition, bugs were ferocious dusk until dawn, so we did not want to drive a golf cart to or from dinner, especially since many places had only outdoor seating. Beach & Snorkeling; we had a great experience using the resort’s kayaks to boat 15 minutes to the reef, anchor using a cinder block, and snorkel using our masks and the resort’s flippers. There are various corals and tons of beautiful fish. It can be windy and there can be a current, so the resort has had to rescue people in the past who are not as comfortable swimming. We had no problem between us and our very good swimming 13 and 15 year olds. Sargassum: Note all east facing beaches across the Caribbean are covered in sargassum seaweed for at least six months a year. Apparently this year was the worst yet on record with it starting in February. In June, the sargassum stretched out beyond the resort dock by probably 50 feet. That meant no swimming from the beach and a light rotten egg smell near the water. Use a kayak to swim. Groceries: There are a couple nearby convenience stores a 5-minute ride from the resort. I recently took a 12 day trip to Sapphire beach. I traveled with my wife and kids and I must rave about the staff! All the members of the staff were truly amazing and very accommodating especially WiFi! He went out of his way on a day after work to take me out fishing in a kayak! What an amazing experience!!! The location was absolutely beautiful! The crew works very hard to keep the resort clean! It was very peaceful and never too loud.

A long (bumpy) road to paradise.

This was a fantastic resort with helpful and friendly staff. A little bit off the beaten path with a long ride on a bumpy road! Which isn’t too bad once you sink into the quiet relaxing spaces - pools, including an adult only pool, beach front views, and wonderful dining options on site and near by.
