Pet friendly no fuss guest house.
8.0A lovely warm welcome from the hosts. The room was dated but clean. Tea, coffee tray, nice clean towels, i got lucky and got the huge king-size bed, had the best night sleep for a long time. I wasctold to trest it like home and i did feel comfortable comjng in and out with my dogs, very pet friendly, no don't do this, don't do that, very relaxed. One piece of constructive criticism, there is a bell to get the attention of the hosts, i tried on numerous occasions and nobody came, all i wanted was the WiFi password and to know where the fire escape was, i wouod suggest just an information sheet pinned to the back of bedroom door would suffice, i did without WiFi and found a window that opened but didn't know where it lead as there where overgrown bushes. I had a fantastic full English breakfast, choice of cereals. Beautiful surroundings, overall i enjoyed my 1 night there.

2.0I didnt stay because the state of the car park. It was unsafe to walk in.

10.0We found this wonderful farmhouse Guesthouse by chance, on the internet and so glad that we did. We stayed there for a few days/nights and NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, Sandra and Arthur. Indeed, these lovely people being 'natives' to Dartmoor, have a vast knowledge of how anything and everything happens on the moors. Their knowledge is also invaluable when you want to visit beautiful spots and places of interest within the countryside. We would have NO HESITATION in staying in this wonderful Guesthouse again..........AND WILL, NEXT YEAR!!! Coming from Portsmouth and being used to more of a town environment, the Guesthouse location and the surrounding areas in the countryside were stunning! NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, coupled with their friendly and helpful manner, which went far and above the call of duty! Well done Sandra and Arthur..........keep up the good work..........and see you next year!!!!!
