Lovely hotel shame about the noise
4.0The hotel is lovely and in a quiet location. The service was excellent. The main issue was the noise and the bathroom being adjacent to the room across the Hall. There was very little insulation from the hallway. So anyone passing or using the bathroom woke us up.
Very nice hotel with a few quirks
8.0Really nice hotel in a beautiful very quiet setting. Rooms were nice though the water pressure a touch inconsistent, lounge downstairs and honesty bar were very handy as the hotel is quite out of the way, no restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was good. Allocation of rooms was a little odd and the wifi was very spotty.

10.0Balmule House is amazing! Beautiful house and grounds, peaceful atmosphere, and impeccable service. The house is beautifully restored. The host and employees were very attentive and friendly. We took a week long tour of Scotland with a different B&B each night. This was by far the best experience, and not even the most expensive place we stayed. Great value. When we come back to Scotland, we want to come back here and spend more time.
Beautiful country house
10.0Rooms were luxuriously decorated en suite bathroom was huge, loved the comfort of warm tiles underfoot. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. Staff couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.
