Dirty and uncomfortable

- Quiet location close to Filandia, Salento and Cocora Valley (20 mins, 30 mins and 45 mins by car respectively). Hotel is next to the freeway which is convenient. - staff was friendly (although we saw only the receptionist and breakfast lady, no other staff seemed to be around.) - property looks nice from the outside, built like a colorful wooden village.

− - the hotel needs a thorough clean up. Our room (Junior Suite) and the hallways were really dirty: dust and dead insects everywhere, dirty floors, blood on the walls from mosquitos, mould in the bathroom. Rooms are not cleaned unless you ask in the morning. - the junior suite has two double beds but these are queen size at best, too narrow for 2 adults, or a parent and a teenage child. Mattresses very hard. - restaurant was closed during our stay (summer). No lunch, no dinner, no snacks. The reception sold some cans and had a few mini bags of chips, but we needed to take the car if we wanted to eat anything. Breakfast was basic. - Pool was not clean, lots of leaves, insects. Water was not heated. Even in summer the pool was too cold for a comfortable swim. - no pool towels - receptionist speaks only Spanish, not one word in another language - restaurants she recommended were not good, like a pizza restaurant in Circasia. We had a few tours and the guide recommended wonderful restaurants, both basic and more extensive eateries with local food, within 20 mins from the hotel. A receptionist should know such things as well especially if the hotel restaurant appears to be closed. To note: the rooms have no aircon. Our room seemed unused for a while and was very hot and musty. Definitely not aired for a while before we got the key. You need a car when you stay here. There is nothing within walking distance.

Very beautiful location and views. Lovely old colonial style buildings. Breakfast was ok, not much selection. Staff were very nice. (kitchen ladies were wonderful). Rooms are clean.

− Some parts are very tired.... but it is to be expected in a property this old. Pool level was low and not very clean. Spa not very clean.

− Mi habitación quedaba muy cerca de la recepción y se escuchaba muchos ruidos …. La carretera está cerca y se escucha algo de camiones

Todo el entorno típico del paisaje cultural cafetero, muy tranquilo y un clima fabuloso.

− La verdad, me gustó lo bien restauradas las construcciones y lo bien conservada, muy hermoso.
