8.0Excellent breakfast and dinner. I have visited for many years, the only shame is that the previous characterful rooms have now become very corporate- albeit comfortable. Excellent staff!

− The shower was over the bath. No safety grab rails to hang on to. No bath mat and the bottom of the bath was slippy.
Es war in Ordnung, Fühstück ist zum Bestellen sehr gut, das Buffet existiert quasi nicht.
6.0Das Anwesen war sehr schön und gepflegt
− Unser Zimmer befand sich direkt über dem Haupteingang. Da an jedem Abend Hochzeiten stattfanden, war es bis etwa zwei oder drei Uhr morgens sehr laut, sodass an erholsamen Schlaf kaum zu denken war. Am nächsten Morgen reinigte der Fensterputzer unsere Fenster, obwohl die Fensterläden geöffnet waren. Dabei spritzte er unsere offenen Koffer mit Wasser voll. Auch nachdem wir ihn darauf aufmerksam gemacht hatten, setzte er die Reinigung unverändert fort, was wir als etwas ungewöhnlich empfanden. Die Zimmer sind insgesamt schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, bieten jedoch ausreichend Platz und waren sehr sauber. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das ausgesprochen freundliche, hilfsbereite und stets zuvorkommende Personal. Ein kleiner Hinweis für künftige Gäste: Die Zimmerkarte muss stets gemeinsam mit dem Mobiltelefon aufbewahrt werden. Andernfalls deaktiviert sich die Karte und das Zimmer lässt sich nicht mehr öffnen. Uns ist das während unseres Aufenthalts viermal passiert. Glücklicherweise war jederzeit ein Mitarbeiter vor Ort, der die Karte rasch wieder aktivierte. Insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für schottische Verhältnisse. Schottland ist generell kein günstiges Reiseland, und wir haben auf unseren Reisen bereits in deutlich schlechteren Hotels übernachtet. Wer keine Luxusunterkunft erwartet, findet hier ein sauberes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal und ausreichend großen Zimmern.
