− Keinerlei Abstriche
lovely spot. wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the area. excellent accomodation!
9.0Breakfast to go was delicious and much appreciated
− Shower had cold water for the first person- eventually warmed up but it took a looooong time. Maybe because it was the middle of the night? (late arrival)
A Home from Home. Absolutely Wonderful Holiday.
9.0We loved our stay at the Hotel Bel Sit. It’s peaceful; the views are breathtaking but it's only 20 minutes t0 Stresa. The staff are super helpful and friendly. A few restaurants within easy walking distance; the narrow pavement is fine! But you'll need a car for more variety. The shower was amazing: three different options as to where the water came out - very useful! The gym was adequate. Couldn’t work the step machine nor the weight machine but the running machine was good, plus the free weights. The showers and loos there were roomy and very well equipped. We had a lake view, which meant we could walk out directly onto the solarium with its narrow, cooling jacuzzi pool. Perfect. It gets very hot there but they have umbrellas and you can always get a sunbed. You can also go down to the grassy area with more sunbeds and direct access to the lake. Guests frequently mention the breakfast as being superb. Here’s more detail. I had granola with dried fruits but there were other cereals too. You could add various dried fruit, seeds and nuts - banana, pineapple, goji berries, prunes, pumpkin seeds, walnuts etc. Also fresh fruit like peach, blueberries, kiwi, strawberries and melon. Top it with sugar-free natural yoghurt or flavoured pots of yoghurt. Four types of fresh juice, plus you could squeeze your own orange juice. The fresh bread looked artisan. I had dark rye but there are other options. There was also a large selection of cakes and pastries, eggs done two ways –scrambled or in omelette form with additions, plus hot bacon. You can order a la carte too; things the poached egg with avocado. There was a huge tray of of hams and cheeses with fresh tomato and cucumber, which I think may be a European breakfast. Finally, delicious cappuccino or a nice cup of tea… both are on offer. There was also a gluten free choice of bread and carbs for those who want it. I’ve probably left something out: it was superb and really does live up to its reputation.
− No deal breakers at all. Would stay there again in a heartbeat: everything was wonderful. Even now, looking at the photos from the breakfast terrace I'm transported back to the tranquility and peace of the place. If I had to say anything, a suggestion would be to have a brighter, maybe directional reading light by the bed. The one there was too dull for good reading and the main light wasn’t a great alternative, though I managed to get round it as I’m sure anyone else would. Definitely not a deal breaker. Great stop for a night or two on beautiful Lake Maggiore
9.0Spacious and well-equipped lakeside room with terrace. Excellent facilities (swimming, fitness). Quiet. Helpful staff. Free parking. Excellent breakfast. Immaculately clean. Good a/c. Bar.
− The hotel doesn’t serve evening meals so you have to drive somewhere for dinner as walking along the very narrow and busy SS 33 highway really isn’t an option for most people. The hotel provides a list of recommended restaurants.
