6.0Owner had forgotten to disable bookings for the lodge while they were overseas and the lodge was unavailable. It was very last minute but thankfully we were able to organise alternative accommodation. Matakana is a beautiful place to visit.
Lovely accommodation in a rural elevated setting.
10.0We spent a relaxing couple of days at Sugar Loaf Lodge, the views from our room were stunning, rolling countryside with Omaha beach in the distance. Dianne and Rob were great hosts, friendly and helpful with advice about what to see and do in the local area. Our accommodation was spacious and very comfortable, breakfast in the sunroom with local bread and honey etc. was a nice addition as was the wine and cheese brought to our room later in the day.

8.0Sugar Loaf is a pleasant place to stay with local attractions not too far away- the staff are friendly and everything was a pleasure
