6.0All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the evening meal in the restaurant was good. However, we found the room we stayed in a little disappointing and whilst accepting it is within an old and character property we felt it need a little bit more attention. There were several nosies that we found a bit obtrusive, e.g. the road noise was quite constant and noticeable (we understand that this is not something the accommodation can easily rectify) there were several 'plumbing' related noises, some from the adjoining rooms but also a loud pump or fan noise within the room itself which started up at random times. As we were only there one night it was not too problematic. Without the above issues we would have rated it higher.

10.0What a charming pub with rooms! The food was beautiful and the service was fantastic! Great value for money and generous breakfast included. I was shown to my room - which are really well thought out for things needed (i.e. full length mirror / iron and ironing board) and was pleasantly surprised to see some rooms had outdoor seating :) Would recommend maybe the bathroom windows are frosted over as mine overlooked the car park and ground floor but only had to pull the blind down. I believe it has been taken over recently so sure more improvements will be coming! Will definitely return! Thank you for a lovely stay :)
