I had the most amazing and beautiful time at maruei! The staff were so kind and the private onsen overlooking Mount Fuji was unforgettable! I had the lakeside view and I loved waking up every morning to Lake Kawaguchiko. I highly recommend Maruei! The breakfast and dinner was also delicious and so well done.

Fuji-San Ryokan

We had an amazing visit to Wakakusa no Yado. The hot springs are amazing and this place has an amazing view of Mt Fuji right from the bath facilities. I recommend getting a private bath for 30 minutes. It is well worth it. Food was amazing and so much of it. You won’t be hungry. If you are visiting Japan and want to experience a ryokan, this is the best. Amazing decor, nice hot baths, sleeping on a tatami mat and having unique Japanese meals - this is your place for these. Thank you to all the friendly and hospitable staff. Doumo arigatou!

Mt Fuji Serenity

Stunning views and very peaceful atmosphere. We were able to see Mt Fuji so clearly from the rooftop deck. Food was abundant and delicious. Onsen relaxing.

Dinner and breakfast were truly sumptuous, with a wide variety of delicious dishes to enjoy. We loved having access to both the private and public onsen baths, which made the stay extra relaxing. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the service throughout was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was outstanding – the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent, beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Both dinner and japanese style breakfast were a highlight of our stay. The onsen area was very clean, relaxing, and perfectly maintained. Thank you very much for the great hospitality. We would happily stay here again! Arigatou gozaimasu. 😊

Good to know

Reservations are required for private bath/onsen. Reservations can be made by contacting the ryokan prior to arrival, using the contact information on the booking confirmation.

Children 2 years old and younger stay free when occupying the parent or guardian's room, using existing bedding.

The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc. ). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.

Please note that some properties do not permit guests with tattoos to use the onsite public bathing facilities.
