− The hotel itself is good, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, I had a very disappointing experience with the booking process and the hotel’s handling of my reservation. I booked the room for three guests (2 adults and 1 child), and my Booking.com confirmation clearly stated that my 10-year-old child could stay free of charge and that the total price already included the children’s rate. Despite this, the hotel charged me an additional £60 for an extra bed upon arrival. This was never made clear during the booking process. To make matters worse, my card was charged twice. Although the duplicate charge was eventually reversed, I was informed that it could take up to 10 days for the money to be returned, causing unnecessary inconvenience during my trip. I expected much better communication and transparency regarding the final price. I hope both the hotel and Booking.com improve this process to avoid the same situation for future guests.

− Hotel and our room was on lots of difference levels (due to the hotel being made up of a number of very old houses), so an issue if you have poor mobility (does have a small lift)

Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.
Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel.
