A little bit of paradise

The Uga jungle hotel is a little piece of paradise. We booked last minute and were unsure what to expect. We were looked after by such a kind and caring set of people. We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a secluded beach bbq, which the staff went out of their way to make very special. The hotel was spotless and the food delicious. As we continue on our tour of Sri Lanka I hope we can find other gems like this. I highly recommend!

Our time at Uga Jungle Beach Resort has truly been magical!! Together as a family we spent 10 days after Christmas in this resort and enjoyed every second of it; it is located in the North-East of the island in a quite remote area, one should be aware of that before traveling there, as the main attractions and tourism is down South. However, if youre looking for tranquility, excellent service, hospitable people and amazing wild life, Uga is the place. The beach is rather untouched and perfect for a stroll - if one is lucky, theres a possibility of seeing wild animals such as elephants and beautiful birds. Around the resort, with the help of Ashan, we met crocodiles, hornbys, peacocks - and monkeys seem to be insitutional inhabitants of the resort, as we have seen them everyday. The service and food was excellent - it varied sometimes and one had a good opportunity of trying everything over time - from local food to international classics like Pasta. Nipun made the food experience especially wonderful - as he was such a kind and attentive soul, we are grateful to have met him. Despite the remoteness of the Resort we still wanted to explore the island, which was no problem with the help of Ishara, who stood at our side whenever we needed assistance to plan trips, for instance to Ella or Sigiriya. Dian and Ashan accompanied us and we felt very comfortable during the trips!! To sum up, Uga Jungle Beach is a tranquil remote resort in the wilderness with the most wonderful staff. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this special time!!

A Dreamy Jungle Sanctuary!

Our anniversary stay at Uga Jungle Beach was a dreamy escape that truly felt like a private sanctuary. The location is excellent, but the highlight was the beach as it was so secluded that it felt like our own private oasis, making it perfect for us just to get rid of everyday hustle bustle and rejuvenate ourselves. We give a 1000/10 rating to the incredible staff, especially Mr. Suraj, who went above and beyond by surprising us with a dreamy, intimate starlit dinner setup by the ocean. While the cabin amenities were wonderful and high-quality, we still believe adding an outdoor bathtub would be the ultimate finishing touch to the experience. We can't thank the friendly team enough for making our celebration so unforgettable and we would without any hesitation recommend not only Uga jungle beach but the rest of the other hotels in the chain to anyone as we had an experience which was beyond what we imagined from them😍♥️♥️♥️

Don’t know where to start. Exceptionally friendly staff with never ending smiles, audible WOW as we first saw the room. Food was outstanding. So relaxing. Recommend a trip north to Trincomalee and this superb hotel
