Lovely to stay in the same hotel as my parents did back in 1980
9.0The staff at Eight Bells are exceptional. They clearly take pride in working at this historical hotel. The 'old school' style includes a residents' lounge, with a fire lit in winter months, a charming pub, and of course, the billiard table. Tea is served at 4 pm, and the apple tart is excellent. The location is well suited for exploring the Southern Cape.
− Although the room was pleasant, the pillows on the bed were rather firm, and we were glad to have brought our own hot water bottle and car blanket.

10.0Excellent food and service. Chalet was cosy, clean and comfortable. Beautiful and well kept grounds. Loved the trails.
Good food and value for money.
8.0We stopped there for lunch with some friends. We had The Ploughman's platter, Mushroom burger and Hake with salad. All was served in a good time space and presented well. The burger was more than could eat and the fish was excellently done. The platter was delicious.
