6.0Beautiful garden.
− I expected I nicer room for that price (furniture-wise). The toilet was a bit smelly and tended to clog.
Not great.
5.0It appealed as was on the way back and had a pool but the actual hotel was disappointing.
− It was our last night in Costa Rica and we had so many options but chose this on our way back from punta arenas. Without realising the rooms we booked had no air con which for the price seemed pretty surprising given all our other bookings. They gave us ‘villas’ but we had to top up. There was no one there, the staff were friendly but it wasn’t a great choice. Compared to the lovely breakfasts we’d had elsewhere this was lacklustre. Poor value for money and an anti climax.
Aburrida, nada especial
4.0desayuno normal, muy bien la piscina, la terraza de la habitación, me gusto
− la cama incómoda, las almohadas no estaban bien, el acceso a las habitaciones en carro, peligrosa, el restaurante no llenó las espectativas,
Paseo tranquilo
10.0La tranquilidad del lugar. La piscina. Y la comida con opciones gluten free.
A real mixed bag - not at all what we expected, but we had a very pleasant stay in spite of the difficulties we encounte
7.0The grounds were beautiful and very peaceful. There was a spectacular multi-purpose room used for yoga and special events. Staff were exceptionally friendly and were the high point of our stay. Special kudos to Cynthia and Rudolpho who went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable, and to Maria for her delicious homemade Flan. We ended up extending our stay because it was so relaxing.
− Our first room had an electrical problem with the bathroom lights that couldn’t be easily remedied. At our request, we were moved to a different room. Because it is a small hotel with only 15 rooms, the only option was close to the (unheated) pool, noisy and much less private. The mattress was old and very hard. We tried buying an expensive mattress pad in town but that wasn’t enough to make it comfortable. Staff were very helpful and ended up substituting two twin mattresses in a king frame which made it tolerable. Finally, hotel descriptions we read in advance of our trip termed the hotel walkable to town. Actually, it is a very difficult walk in hilly terrain along narrow roads with a lot of traffic. No shoulders or sidewalks.
Don’t waste your money
1.0Nothing particularly stands out
− I was charged the same price as a mid to high range Hyatt room, for facilities without air conditioning (in one of the warmest areas of the country) a lumpy bed with ultra small hard pillows
