Location wass beautiful , room was very comfortable and clean facilities were excellent, lovely idea of having a good continental breakfast in the room, good choice of food. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The only thing that would stop me from staying again , was the outside stairs to get to the room , my husband is disabled and found it quite difficult to manage the amount of stairs and in some places there wasn't a handrail, I had emailed to ask if the room was all on one level , which it was . So I never considered there were stairs .

Booking.Com Inadiquate description of facilities.

It was a pleasant pub in a quiet village, very friendly staff and good beer.

Upon my arrival, I was informed that the property does not provide on-site cooked meals on Monday or Tuesday evenings (Booking.com website did not mention this!). However, the proprietor did assist me in being able to order a takeaway meal from a local source (well done for her!) My booking was made at about 9pm the night before my intended stay, as an overnight rest following a 300 mile drive, prior to continuing further the next day, so I was expecting on-site catering. Although the property did send me an email clarifying the absence of catering on that night, the nature of my travelling day left me with no time to check my emails, thus I was very dissapointed.

Nice pub not too far from A1. Nice enough room across from pub, so quiet. Comprehensive continental breakfast set up in bedroom including ground coffee was good.

Arriving at 16.50 to discover kitchen was closing at 17.00 was no fun. Advanced warning would have been good! Food was ok.
