Peaceful spot with great buffet breakfast and spacious room.
10.0This was an exceptional place. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony. The grounds were lovely. The breakfast was delicious. It was a short drive into Durango for meals and shopping and a short drive to Mesa Verde National Park.

8.0Estuvimos alojados en el Cottage in the woods y era una cabaña espectacular, amplia y cómoda. El desayuno magnífico, excelente calidad y variedad. El personal super amable y atento a las necesidades que trasmitimos. La historia del rancho super interesante, así como su ubicación, si bien es cierto que está algo apartado de Durango que tiene su ventaja y desventaja.
− Tristemente al entrar el primer día, era bastante evidente que el alojamiento no había sido bien limpiado y recogido después de la salida de los anteriores huéspedes ese mismo día. Probablemente fue alguna complicación por las fechas festivas (un 26 de diciembre) en que nos encontrábamos. Lo comentamos al personal y se solucionó rápidamente.

8.0The location was great. A little drive from Durango, but nice and quiet. We enjoyed the our room and the breakfast was amazing. They did a great job!
− There were three of us, so I got the pull out couch. Not a great sleep, mattress of course is thin and hard as a rock. Could benefit from a fluffy pillow top.

2.0Upon arrival, the property was not at all as described on their website. No beautiful views of the mountains and nothing but overgrown brush. Not to mention that it was in the middle of nowhere, much farther than Durango as described. Not a restaurant, store or gas station within miles and miles. We opted NOT to stay even though we’d already made a $500 + deposit. We left extremely disappointed and angry and had to spend more time and money finding an available hotel. I emailed the property owner, but did not get a response. Terrible experience, terrible misrepresentation.

10.0We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Lake Ranch. The property was fantastic. Lots of birds and a few deer walking around. There’s so many places to sit and enjoy the views. Our room was wonderful. Our room was spacious and very relaxing, with a patio in back. Our only regret is, we did not get to stay longer.
