Beautiful house - terrible house owner!

The house was very luxurious, big, clean and modern. Great kitchen, beautiful and clean rooms, big garden and pool area, amazing terrace and views.

− I can't really determine who was responsible for communication with us. We were only texting and interacting with Omar who was very friendly and helpful but couldn't solve several topics. The check in was late and we had to wait for him. People were still cleaning the house. The house had a great bose soundsystem on the terrace... sadly omar couldn't really get it to work. We found a nest with bees (!) on the terrace.... Omar removed it with a bug spray on his own... which was very friendly and brave... but this should have been done before our arrival.. but ok. The pool area was dirty.. we asked omar to take care of it and the crew that was still at the house cleaned it... so far so good. At night we figured out that the pool light, garden lights and pool fountain weren't working. Omar sent a technician who fixed those problems. While we were doing a barbecue a team of gardeners showed up, started to cut trees, clean the garden and were extremely loud (not unfriendly). Their machines had a terrible exhaust smell. Our barbecue was interrupted and we had to go inside - we asked omar "wtf?" and he called them and the crew immediately stopped their work. We finally continued to enjoy the house and the pool - suddenly the power went out. We called omar - he said "sometimes the government turns of the power and we need to wait". We were sitting around for three hours, or food got warm in the refrigerators, we couldn't prepare any dinner, it started getting dark and our son started to be afraid. I saw that every other house around us had power and lights. I called omar and he drove to our house to just see that the breakerfuses that were located on the street went out.. This would have been an easy fix if someone would have instructed us beforehand that this can happen sometimes.... that wouldn't have been an issue at all.. but like this it ruined our day.

The location had the best view and the property was even better than we imagined! The host was super friendly, accommodating and met all of our needs. Highly recommend this property for a trip to Uvita!

Loved the views. In retrospect a 4 night stay would have been plenty. 9 was too long.

1) wrong address listed. Took me 20 minutes to figure out that the correct address was listed only in the email. Email wasn’t clear that google maps and Apple Maps was wrong. 2) no communication with the property as we were figuring out the address in the dark 3) villa booked wasn’t provided to us as their was no power in the villa which was initially booked 4) no internet provided during our stay. 5) had to figure out the water supply issue on one of the days of our stay 6) I have been trying to reach the property for refund but the property manager has been ignoring all my texts very conveniently 7) in all there is nothing that I can do

Not as high end as you might think …. Service certainly isn’t.

Amazing views. Nice pool. Quiet area. A bit tatty in places, but the only real negative was the poor concierge service.

− They advertise a concierge service - it’s useless. If you ask for any help then you don’t get any. Example - three days to change locks that didn’t work so we couldn’t leave place secure. Asked for help on basic tours/things to recommend - basic research provided of google links that would have taken 30 seconds to do. Nothing personal about it. EXAMPLE - pool area was dirty and hadn’t been swept before we checked in, as had front lobby area. ‘Concierge’ said it would get cleaned - it never did. Sadly, The WORST ‘host’ service like this we came across in CR in a month of staying in many places. Property isn’t where it’s advertised on booking.com. 20 minutes away and if you don’t have a 4x4 don’t bother. ‘Concierge’ response was ‘it’s not my fault, and you are lucky, you have a 4x4 …!!!!’
