It was amazing!
10.0Could not have asked for a better stay. It was perfect from check-in to check-out. You will love it. Perfect for girls trips and couples. Staff was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The rooms are massive and so clean. Excellent housekeeping. Beautiful, clean property. Hammocks out back are so relaxing. Pool towels are provided. Bar food and drinks were great! Free breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Best grits I have ever had! They have a Top Golf Suite for a fee. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will return! 5 stars for: Clarissa- front desk Billy- bartender
Perfect Getaway!
10.0We booked The Inn by Sea Island last minute after a terrible experience at another hotel. We knew the moment we walked in it was going to be wonderful!! Carissa greeted us with a smile and got us into our beautiful room so efficiently. The lobby is so welcoming with lots of comfy seating and the pool and patio area are so lovely and relaxing!! Billy took great care of us at the bar and made a delicious peach margarita! Our room was perfect with comfortable beds and pillows and lots of space. Don’t forget to chill in the hammocks behind the pool!! We had the best experience at the Inn by Sea Island and will definitely be back!!
Perfect little getaway location!
10.0This was the perfect little getaway location for my family. Location was ideal in proximity to all the activities. Upon entering the hotel, we were very impressed with the Decor and the staff that greeted us. This location only has two stories so it is on the smaller side and very well kept and maintained throughout. They have a lovely continental breakfast and the food was very good. We have no complaints at all, we enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were immaculate and beds were comfortable. We would definitely choose this location coming to Saint Simon Island in the future.
Bizarre experience – confusing resort access and not what we expected.
4.0We took a bit of time to reflect before writing this, as we really wanted to like our stay. Unfortunately, it was ultimately disappointing, largely due to confusion around what being a guest at The Inn actually entitles you to within the wider Sea Island resort. The core issue is a lack of clarity around “resort access.” We were very upfront that, while we didn’t want to pay top-tier rates for a room at the other properties, we were more than willing to spend extra to access restaurants, pools and beaches across the resort. However, messaging varied depending on who we spoke to, and at no point did The Inn proactively explain what was available. In fact, it was only through a chance visit to The Lodge that we discovered we could dine at the restaurants simply by staying at The Inn. We were also told we could collect a car decal from reception to make access easier, which immediately raises the question of why this is not issued automatically at check-in when registering vehicles. The way we ended up there in the first place rather sums up the issue. As international travellers, our sons wanted a pub-style lunch, so we found The Oak Room online and called ahead to check if we needed a reservation. We were told to just come. Only when following the sat nav did we realise it was located on Sea Island Resort grounds, meaning we encountered a security checkpoint en route. It was there, not during the call, that we learned about access requirements. Had we not been staying at the resort, we would have been turned away. The right questions simply are not being asked, and it highlights how communication gaps are undermining the guest experience. There is clearly a balance to strike between exclusivity and accessibility, but the current approach feels disjointed. It also represents a missed commercial opportunity, as we were willing to spend more if properly guided. As for The Inn itself, it is nicely presented, with beautifully decorated rooms and a very warm, welcoming manager. However, it feels overpriced for what it offers, particularly given the confusion around resort access. In reality, it is closer to a well-presented Hampton Inn than a premium resort experience. The breakfast area lacked sufficient seating during our stay, the pool area is very small for a family setting, and our room was not serviced one day. With clearer communication and a few thoughtful touches, such as a short complimentary golf simulator session or simple in-room extras like fresh flowers, the experience could be elevated significantly. Overall, there is potential, but too much to refine for us to consider returning. It was not the family holiday we had envisioned when booking.
Solid choice for Sea Island Resort
8.0Very nice hotel that's close to all the golf and restaurants. Staff was friendly and common elements were all very nice. My only issue was I must have been given the darkest room at the inn. I was on the first floor and the window was narrow and tucked behind a wall. The free breakfast was an elevated Residence Inn style buffet. As the Inn is part of the Sea Island Resort we enjoyed all the restaurant choices and the golf was phenomenal.
