Got stolen, do not recommend

The house itself was very beautiful

− What a disaster, do not recommend. We originally booked for 3 nights but ended up staying only the first night. My father’s watch, cash, pen, and even nail clipper got stolen on site. I have no idea how this villa qualified as a 5-star property. For the price they charged, the house and the pool were small and had no views. The cleanliness was way below standard. The bath towels were tired and had a foul smell. The bedding in my parents’ room had bits of dirt/sand and hair, and one of the pillow cases had black mold dots. The kitchen sink was not clean, and the electric kettle had a sheet of dust covering. Immediately the evening we checked in, I asked the staff to cancel my next 2 nights and left the property for dinner. When we came back, she told me I could cancel the entire reservation and pay the fine as for our first night’s stay and I agreed to let all the uncleanliness go as long as I can get my next two-nights’ money back. Yet in the morning, my dad realized his watch and cash (last seen in the villa) got stolen. We checked the house multiple times, refusing to believe anyone would do this. Finally I told the staff what happened and asked to see the owner, but the staff completely stonewalled me, refusing to let me talk to the owner – saying that he had a meeting in Jakarta. I told the staff that this was serious, and I needed to talk to the owner immediately. And this staff started yelling in a language I could not understand – it got very scary, note that she was a small lady and I am female, too. Finally the owner came (where was the so-called Jakarta meeting?), he and another staff took us to the police station and filed a report. The owner agreed to refund our cancellation fee as an apology. And yesterday when we left Bali, still there were no news. Frankly, losing grossly 7000 USD worth of belongings in a so-called 5-star accommodation is unacceptable. This property is not safe based on my experience, and definitely not worth the price.

This is a boutique style hotel - with individual villas. A small scale operation with amazing staff!

Amazing service, beautiful, quiet, secluded location where you can hear insects and birds sitting outdoors. North of Ubud town, so away from the hubub. The staff make a lovely breakfast every day - highly recommend the Indonesian breakfast.

− There is no restaurant on site, but you can easily order grab (or other) delivery and the kind staff at the villa will bring the food down to you.

The Host, the 2 ladies managing the property have taken care us very well, Highly customer service oriented. The comfortable rooms, Aircon, Mattress, shower, pool etc., They serve a good breakfast too.
