Loved the cosy tidy house and would definitely stay again!
10.0I liked that the property felt like a home away from home. It was tidy and cosy! Getting into the property was very easy and we enjoyed our time.
− Not the owners fault at all but as the temperature was so high we found the bedrooms were extremely hot. 2 guests slept on the sofas downstairs. But that happens in my house too!

− The outside table was quite dirty and tte outside chairs were full of spiderwebs.
Overnight stay with a baby
8.0The coded front door is a brilliant idea and means there is no risk of losing the key. The cottage was beautifully presented. The breakfast bits that were left by the hosts was a lovely added extra. The eggs were very tasty and from their own hens. The hosts were quick to answer you when you messaged them. There is parking available outside the cottage. Very impressed overall as our stay was at short notice.
− There is gorgeous flagstone flooring covering most of the downstairs and only a small area of carpet in the dining space. This didn't concern us as our baby is not yet crawling, and we were only staying overnight. But something to bear in mind if you have very young children. The only bathroom is downstairs and at the front. We did not find this too much of an issue. But it is something to consider if you wake in the night. The track down to the cottage is narrow. But there is extra lights to make sure you are safe. We own a large SUV and we managed to get down it.
Disappointing
5.0The two cottages are small but well equipped. Clean & comfortable. Great that you can take dogs. Location was great for us - one family from Devon, the other Surrey.
− Solely booked on the assumption we had access to the games room. Not clear at all that this is for use of guests at the house as the photos and reviews for the cottages create the expectation access is part of the deal. We would have booked elsewhere had we known! As it was, 9 of us spent the evening in the living room / dining area of one cottage. Very cramped indeed and not the family catch up we’d anticipated. Owner cited restrictions on booking.com meaning they could only have the photos of games room stating “Withy House” - it’s not clear what this means, especially as cottage reviews specifically mention this facility. Very little in the way of empathy for our experience.
Pets are allowed in Withy House and Withy Cottages, but not in Willow caravan.
